who is teaching
Every instructor at SiSU is trained in trauma-informed practice, not only our psychologists and counsellors. That is not a separate class, it is how every class here is run.
In practice it means choice and predictability are built in. Nothing is done to you without warning, hands-on adjustment is offered rather than assumed, and you can lie down, sit out or leave the room at any point without explaining why.
Service dogs are welcome in every class and everywhere else in the studio. Let us know when you book if you can, so we can have the space ready.
Instructor names appear against every class on the timetable, so you can book with someone you have got on with before.

I have been teaching Pilates for over six years, and what I love most is helping people feel comfortable, confident and connected to their bodies through movement.
My teaching style is calm, supportive and focused on quality over quantity. I love slowing things down, focusing on form and creating movement that feels purposeful rather than rushed. I take a trauma-informed approach to teaching and always want my clients to feel safe, supported and in control of their own experience.

I love the idea of strengthening our muscles through slow and controlled movement. I see the benefits of Pilates in daily life, from improving posture through to core stability, and I believe there is always something in Pilates that will suit your goals. My favourite movement is the Pilates Hundred.
I am also a peanut butter lover, though I have more self control now.

I create a nurturing, supportive space where you can arrive as you are. My classes are grounding and gently uplifting, guided by breath and connection. There is space to be, to listen inwardly and to move with awareness. Beginners are very welcome, while experienced practitioners also have room to deepen their practice.
I specialise in illness and injury recovery and nervous system regulation, drawing on my studies and lived experience of recovery. Alongside public classes, I offer private sessions and tailored programs.
For me, yoga and meditation are practices of presence, a chance to reconnect with ourselves. I close my yoga classes with a poem, an offering for reflection to take with you as you step off the mat.

I love to share yoga that leads back to the breath and body, quieting the noise of the mind and finding a place of stillness. I began practising as a teenager for the physical side of it, and fell in love with the deeper layers: the philosophy, the nervous system support, the relaxation. I still love a bit of dynamic asana in the morning.
I trained at Grassroots Yoga in St Kilda and in Bodhidham, Nepal, including yin and Himalayan singing bowls, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

I started practising yoga over a decade ago as a way to balance my body, mind and breath, and that is what I hope you find in a class with me.
My aim is a welcoming space to tune in and restore, whether we are moving through a flow or settling into Yoga Nidra. Everyone is welcome, whatever you have or have not done before. I am an RYT-200 teacher, trained in India.
Outside of yoga you will find me with music, a book, or out running.

I will lead you through a gentle yet challenging Dru Yoga class, to release tension, build strength and increase flexibility.
I also teach kids and teens, which is where Family Yoga comes from: a class where parents and children slow down and share something together, and where nobody needs to have done yoga before. I am a 350-hour certified instructor and a breathwork coach.

I have practised yoga since I was 13, and I teach strong Vinyasa flow. My classes build mind, body and breath connection by aligning breath with movement in continuous flow, strengthening the body through range, calming the mind and grounding your energy all at once.
My classes prioritise anatomical integrity, so you build strength and flexibility safely, and I encourage a high level of body, mind and self-awareness. My hope is that it keeps resonating off the mat.
The New to SiSU section covers what to wear, what to bring, how early to arrive, and which classes suit a complete beginner.
