canberra's first
Canberra's first dedicated, science-led nervous system reset program.
For people experiencing anxiety, burnout or persistent exhaustion despite doing all the right things. Reset teaches you to regulate your own nervous system by reactivating the part of it that signals you are safe.
eight weeks, for frontline workers
SiSU Canberra's eight week outpatient trauma recovery program, designed specifically for current or separated frontline workers experiencing psychological illness.
The program brings together clinical trauma psychoeducation with nervous system regulation and somatic recovery practices, including trauma-informed yoga, guided meditation and contrast therapy, supporting both the psychological and physiological aspects of trauma recovery.
TARP is suitable for current or separated frontline workers, including police, paramedics, firefighters, corrections, doctors, specialists, nurses, dispatch and communications staff, and defence personnel, experiencing psychological illness.
That includes post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, moral injury, sleep disturbance and relationship breakdown.
The program is clinically led and facilitated by Lia McInnis, clinical and forensic psychologist, with more than fifteen years of clinical practice and seven years embedded with the Australian Federal Police, specialising in operational trauma and PTSD in frontline professions.
Contact the SiSU team to learn more about the program, discuss suitability and find out about our next intake.
If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For 24 hour support, Lifeline is on 13 11 14, and Beyond Blue is on 1300 22 4636. Our psychology service is not a crisis service and we cannot respond to urgent matters outside studio hours.
