About Amy
Lead Instructor | Yoga, breath work & meditation
Hi, I'm Amy!
Amy is our head of yoga and meditation at SiSU. Her teaching is grounded in compassion, connection, and accessibility. She creates a supportive space where students can arrive as they are, offering mindful classes that are both grounding and gently uplifting and guided by breath and awareness. With a background in Asian Religions from the Australian National University, Amy brings depth and perspective to her work, seeing yoga as a path of reconnection, supported through movement and meditation. She specialises in illness and injury recovery and nervous system regulation, drawing from both study and lived experience, including her journey from wheelchair to wellness.
Amy offers Hatha yoga, pranayama breath work, and meditation in both group classes and private sessions, with tailored programs to meet individual needs. Her classes may also include optional yoga massage to support healing and restoration. She welcomes beginners while also supporting experienced practitioners to deepen their practice, with the intention that students leave feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected. When she is not on the mat, you might find her writing poetry, which she offers as a closing reflection to her classes.
